Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair
August 16th - 22nd
Experience a full week of fun, a community celebration packed with exciting events, live entertainment, delicious fair food, livestock shows, rides, and family friendly traditions that highlight the very best of Muskingum County.
2026 Riverfest
September 5th & 6th
Join the Muskingum Valley Park District for Riverfest 2026, a weekend celebrating Muskingum County rivers, outdoor recreation, and community! This family-friendly festival will feature a variety of activities including historic canal lock tours, live animal demonstrations, educational programs, inflatables, vendors, food trucks, live music, and a fun kids activity area. Spend the day along the beautiful Muskingum River learning about local wildlife and conservation, meeting community organizations, and enjoying great food and entertainment. Whether you're enjoying exploring the locks, enjoying wildlife demonstrations, or relaxing with friends and family, Riverfest is a great way to connect with nature and your community.
Zanesville Half Marathon
September 26th, 2026
Lace up your running shoes and head to Zanesville for your next race. This 13.1 mile course will have you enjoying all the sights and sounds Zanesville has to offer. If you're looking for an easier start to your Fall, be sure to check out the 5k option.
Enjoy our Dora District
Enjoy downtown in a whole new way with Zanesville’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA). This special district allows you to purchase a beverage from participating locations and explore the downtown while you sip. Whether you’re shopping, enjoying live music, or taking in the scenery, DORA lets you experience it all at your own pace. DORA is available seven days a week so you can plan your visit with ease:
- Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Hours may be extended during special events, giving you even more opportunities to enjoy downtown.
