On the first Friday of each month, downtown Zanesville comes alive with art, music, food, shopping and community during the ArtCoZ First Friday Art Walk. Presented by the Artist Colony of Zanesville (ArtCoZ), the monthly event invites visitors and residents to explore local galleries, shops, restaurants and other downtown destinations while experiencing the creativity that continues to shape the community. Zanesville has a long and celebrated artistic heritage. Once known as the “Pottery Capital of the World,” the city’s creative story can still be seen throughout the community in paintings, sculpture, pottery, architecture, music and more. The First Friday Art Walk celebrates that history while showcasing the artists, businesses and organizations helping shape Zanesville’s future. Visitors can spend the evening discovering local artwork, enjoying food and drinks, shopping downtown and experiencing the people and places that make Zanesville unique. More than an art event, the ArtCoZ First Friday Art Walk offers visitors a chance to experience the creative spirit of Zanesville and discover something new each month.
